Exciting new colors adorn the Ford Ranger Splash

Ford understands that trends come and go, so it’s ready to give today’s Ranger enthusiasts a taste of the ’90s. After a brief hiatus, the Ford Ranger Splash returns for the 2022 model year in two distinct flavors.

The Ranger Splash is available for sale at Ford dealerships near Dallas in two forms: the regular version and the new Splash Limited Edition. Over the course of the truck’s production cycle this year, Splash Limited Editions will be released in a variety of different configurations.

Ford Rangers from the 1990s will be somewhat resurrected with the Splash look package. The original Ford Ranger Splash had a step-side bed and a lowered suspension back in the day. It also had vinyl decals and monochromatic paint. Though it has a swankier design and extra interior features, the 2022 Ford Ranger Splash for sale in Itasca, TX keeps its original ride height and conventional bedsides.

Splash package

First, we’ll go through the Splash package, as it’s what you’ll see the most of. The Splash truck is painted bright orange, and the outside features orange and black decals. The vehicle comes standard with black 18-inch wheels and a grille that has body-color nostrils to harken back to the vehicle’s original body-color design. The mirror caps, wheel arches, and the majority of the Ranger Splash’s grille are also finished in gloss black.

The orange color scheme is carried through to the interior, where you’ll find carbon grain tuxedo stripes and contrast stitching. You can get the Splash package on the FX2 and FX4 models with no mechanical changes.

Splash Limited Editions

A limited number of Ford Ranger Splash Limited Editions will be offered alongside the Splash package. New, one-time-only colors will be introduced on the new Ford trucks, each time-limited and available only on a small number of vehicles.

The Limited editions will start with a Snow Edition. Notably, the Splash Limited Edition colors won’t simply ape those that were available in previous decades. So, we might see some exciting color options like teal, orange, or purple surfacing.

Due to the limited-run nature of the Splash Limited Editions, we don’t expect to see many of them plying the routes between Dallas, Ft. Worth, Hillsboro, and Waco. This will make your Ford Ranger truly unique on the road and perhaps even turn heads.

Splash package availability

Ford expects to begin shipping the new Splash models by the end of 2021. The SuperCrew XLT and Lariat trims can both avail of the package for $1,495. Customers have the option of adding it to the FX2 or FX4 bundle, too, without changing the mechanics.
